Great News! High Court rules against Streetspace
We are delighted at the victory in the High Court which says these schemes discriminate against people with disabilities.
We have been telling LBWF this for YEARS together with case studies and other evidence.
Not only have they not listened, but it is alleged that Clyde Loakes is going to re-name his Streetspace closures to avoid legal action! This is the kind of councillor we have running our affairs in this borough. Does not care about the reality of why the judge ruled against these schemes. Just looking at a sneaky way to get round it and continue to discriminate against people with disabilities and many others.
Anyone out there willing to take Loakes to court?? Let us know. If you are on benefits you might be entitled to legal aid, or we might be able to organise a crowdfunder as many other boroughs are doing now.
This is the information put out by LTDA and UTAG who brought the case against Sadiq Khan.
