Council NEVER gives up!

Despite petitions, consultations, surveys demonstrating again and again that residents in Howard, Falmer, Hurst, Seaford Roads and the Drive do NOT WANT ROAD CLOSURES Loakes will NOT give up until he has created the same misery for those residents he has already implemented in other parts of the borough.

A small group of vociferous residents who call themselves Hilltop Community are working with the Council and are keen to over-ride what the less mobile, less internet aware want.

The Council has just leafleted houses in the so-called Hilltop zone advertising a consultation event about traffic reduction, road safety and environmental improvements in the Howard Road / Drive area. TICKETS

The "consultation" meeting is on Tuesday 24 September 2019 18:30 – 21:00 at Our Lady and St George Hall Shernhall Street London E17

There is no information in the leaflet about responses to the previous 2015 and 2019 consultations - other than saying that the council had decided to defer a decision and is now re-engaging with residents on updated plans.

PLEASE GO ALONG EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIVE IN THE AREA AFFECTED AND ARGUE AGAINST ALL ROAD CLOSURES
