Fantastic News!

Delighted that the magnificent efforts of the Markhouse campaigners have resulted in the Council NOT implementing the proposed road closures and other "improvements" for now.

People went door to door, explaining the possible consequences, handing out leaflets and window posters and encouraging residents to respond to the consultations.

Campaigners also carried out their own analysis of all the responses pulled from the website to demonstrate that the majority opposed the Council's proposals.

Now the Council itself has conceded that residents don't want these "improvements" and are not going ahead at this time.
