TfL proposing to abolish 48 bus

Transport for London is proposing to make changes to 33 bus routes in London including our much valued no:48 bus which goes all the way from Walthamstow to London Bridge.

We have seen how bus lanes that have been campaigned for over decades have been summarily removed to make way for cycle lanes.

We have seen how the Mini Holland road closures have forced traffic onto bus routes causing delays.

Meanwhile Councils are building tower blocks with thousands of new residents many of whom will depend on buses.

TfL and local authorities all wax lyrical about getting us out of cars and onto public transport, but their actions demonstrate that they do not care at all about our bus network.

TfL tell us we can have our say by filling in the consultation here

If you dont have time to comment on all 33 changes, at least comment on our own 48. If you find the questions they ask and the answers you are allowed to give unsatisfactory you can email them at consultations@tfl.gov.uk

The closing date for comments is Friday 9 November 2018.
