According to today's Metro Motorists spend an average of 44 hours per year looking for a parking space. This costs drivers £733 in wasted time, fuel and emissions according to traffic information supplier Inrix.

London was ranked as the worst UK city for parking, with motorists spending 67 hours a year searching at a total cost of £1,104.
