Conflict between needs of cyclists, pedestrians and public transport users
Waltham Forest keep talking about "encouraging walking and cycling" and that we should use public transport rather than cars where possible. However Mini-Holland projects elevate the needs of cyclists above all others. As we know, cyclists will only ever be a minority of travellers, and generally they are young, fit, able-bodied men. However their views have over-ridden the needs of other residents in the borough.
So in order to create a cycle lane in Markhouse Road, Waltham Forest Council has:-
REMOVED A BUS SHELTER !!
Bus-users now have no shelter from the vagaries of the British weather. Older people or people with disabilities now have nowhere to sit whilst waiting. As we know, Mini Holland is already creating bus delays due to additional congestion and road narrowing. How is this encouraging people to use public transport?

No shelter or seat any more. People have to cross cycle lane when getting on / off bus.
Pavement is far too narrow and falls below Access Guideline requirements of 1.5m width
