Survey on Air Quality

Transport for London are running a consultation until 18th December on new proposals to improve Air Quality in London and on the introduction of a new Emissions Surcharge and ideas for improving Ultra Low Emission Zone.

Currently the Mayor of London seems besotted with the PR that LBWF have deluged him with about what a success Mini-Holland has been. However those of us who live here have experienced much worse air quality along the roads that are still open. Making cars travel longer routes obviously increases emissions. Having traffic stuck on main roads with all the side roads closed means gridlock and increased pollution from idling engines. The wind carries the pollution into the roads that have been closed as well as the main roads.

When Mini Holland officers are challenged on this, they say " reducing pollution is not one of our objectives" !!

Please fill in the survey, and say how closing roads is counter-productive to improving air quality.
